Items to Search Through

Introduction

Configure the types of content that Smart WooCommerce Search should index and search through. You can find these settings under the Items to Search Through tab of Smart Search widget settings.

Note: Some features are exclusive to the PRO version.

Post Types

• Default Post Types: Use toggles to select standard post types like Posts, Pages, Products, and Variations.
• Custom Post Types: Select additional post types from the Custom Post Types dropdown menu.

Fields

• Standard Fields: Choose whether to search in post titles, content, and excerpts.
• Product SKU: Enable searching in the product’s SKU field.
• Custom Fields: Enable search in custom fields (post meta). Enter field slugs separated by commas.

Taxonomies

• Standard Taxonomies: Select if the plugin should search in Post Tag names, Post Category names, Product Tag names, and Product Category names.
• Custom Taxonomies: Select custom taxonomies from the dropdown to search through term names.
• Allowed Product Categories: Limit searches to specific product categories.
• Disallowed Product Categories: Exclude specific product categories from searches.
